Why you shouldn't visit a clinic just to refill your meds

You don't need to waste 4 hours at the clinic just for a refill. Upload your prescription, get offers from pharmacies, and have your medication delivered same-day.

If your medication hasn't changed and your prescription is still valid, you don't need to spend 4 hours at the clinic every month. Here's how to refill from home.

When can you refill without a clinic visit?

Your prescription is still valid: It has all required elements: medication name, strength, dosage, facility name, doctor's signature, and date. If your doctor wrote "for 6 months," you can refill for the duration without a new visit.

Your medication hasn't changed: Same drug, same dose. If your doctor changed anything at your last appointment, you'll need the updated prescription.

You're not due for a check-up: Most chronic conditions require regular reviews (every 3–6 months). Between those check-ups, refills can happen without a clinic visit.

How do you refill through Famasi?

Step 1: Take a clear photo of your current prescription — both sides if applicable.

Step 2: Upload it through the platform or send to a Care Specialist via WhatsApp.

Step 3: Care Specialist verifies the prescription and confirms medication availability.

Step 4: Get offers from pharmacies in your area. Compare prices and pay.

Step 5: Same-day, 1-hour delivery to your home or office.

Important: Famasi will not process delivery for prescription medications without a valid prescription. If your prescription is expired, your Care Specialist can help coordinate renewal with your doctor — often without an in-person visit.

How much time do you save per month?

Traditional refill With Famasi
Travel to clinic: 30–90 min Upload photo: 2 min
Wait for doctor: 1–3 hours Care Specialist verifies: 15 min
Clinic pharmacy queue: 30–60 min Delivery: same-day, 1-hour

Can you automate recurring refills?

If you refill the same medication every month, automate it:

  • Monthly refill notice at day 23
  • Same prescription, same pharmacies, same delivery process
  • No re-uploading the prescription each month. It's already on file
  • Care Specialist monitors for when your prescription will need renewal
