What is Dispensary?
Dispensary is a pharmacy’s operating system. It brings together everything a pharmacy needs to run — inventory, sales, orders, payments, procurement, staff, and branches — into one platform that works on Android, iOS, and Windows.
Before you can train a pharmacist on how to use Dispensary, you need to understand what it does and why it matters to them. This lesson gives you that foundation.
What Dispensary does for a pharmacy
A pharmacy on Dispensary can manage their entire operation without switching between multiple tools. From one platform, they can:
- Receive and fulfil medication requests from customers
- Create and share an online storefront
- Sell from an Android phone, tablet, iOS device, or POS terminal
- Accept payments via cash, card, bank transfer, QR, USSD, or Dispensary Wallet
- Manage inventory — upload stock manually or via CSV
- Get low-stock alerts and track stock movements
- Auto-generate procurement lists and send invoices to suppliers
- Manage staff and assign roles
- Manage customers and view order history
- Manage multiple branches from one dashboard
- Receive orders from their storefront and marketplace integrations
- Track sales history and monitor performance with insights
- Send digital receipts via email, SMS, WhatsApp, or Bluetooth printing
Why this matters for your visits
The pharmacies you visit have not yet seen most of this. They have uploaded their inventory and may be receiving marketplace orders — but the full platform is largely untouched.
When you walk in, you are showing them what they already own. That is a very different conversation from selling something new.
Where Dispensary runs
Dispensary is available on:
- Android smartphones, tablets, and POS terminals
- iOS devices
- Web browsers on Windows and iOS
In most pharmacies you visit, the session will run on the pharmacy’s own device — either already installed or downloaded at the start of your visit.
